Kinsō - botanical jacquard, symmetrical composition

Collector Model · Spring Summer 2027

Kinsō.

Where Japanese textile tradition meets Parisian composition.
A car dressed, not configured.

Nishijin weaver - botanical jacquard on a traditional loom

Act I · The Question

What if a car
could be dressed?

Dressed - the way a couturier dresses a body. With textile, with patience, with the understanding that surface carries meaning.

Kinsō begins in Kyoto, in the workshops of Nishijin-ori - the silk-weaving district where jacquard looms have produced botanical textiles for over five centuries. Every petal, every leaf, not printed but woven.

This is the tradition HOF chose as its starting point. Because decoration, when it is structural, is no longer decoration. It is language.

Nishijin loom - botanical jacquard being woven

The loom - where thread becomes language. Nishijin-ori, Kyoto.

Act II · The Material

Botanical jacquard.
Not printed. Woven.

The textile at the heart of Kinsō is a structure - a botanical jacquard where every motif is constructed thread by thread. Flora drawn from Edo-period botanical illustration, translated into a weave dense enough to upholster an interior, refined enough to line a couture jacket.

Aizome Blue takes its name from aizome, the Japanese tradition of fermented indigo. A blue that remembers the plant it came from.

Kinari Crème borrows the Japanese term for raw, unbleached silk - the warmth that carries the lower body and the front of the cabin.

Silk Gold runs through the composition as accent - woven into the jacquard, embroidered into leather, ringed around the wheels. Not yellow. Lit from within.

Material study - Silk Gold jacquard against Aizome Blue
Aizome - hands wringing indigo-dyed fabric

Aizome - the blue that carries memory. Fermented indigo, Tokushima.

Kiriko glass - cut crystal catching amber light

Act II · The Palette

Three tones,
one composition.

Every HOF composition begins with a dialogue. For Kinsō, three tones are held in conversation.

Aizome Blue above the beltline. Kinari Crème below. Silk Gold drawn through the body as the accent that connects them - and rings the wheels in the same warmth that runs through the cabin.

The logic is borrowed from fashion, where contrast creates conversation. The way a crème trouser, an indigo blouse and a thread of gold can together form a single look.

Act III · A monolithic canvas

Before we dress,
we prepare the canvas.

The starting point of Kinsō's exterior is the cubic silhouette of the G-Class - and HOF's reading is to clarify it. The traditional side protection strips are laser-cut from the bodywork; each panel is closed seamlessly by hand. Manual, time-intensive, carried out at the atelier - every cut, every weld, every finish placed by the same hands. What remains is a monolithic body: a single uninterrupted plane, the purest canvas the season's composition can be carried by.

Kinsō - rear view, the monolithic body carried through the rear

HOF G · V - Kinsō · Rear · The cleaned silhouette, carried through.

Act III · The Permanent Framework

A body that
carries the season.

The bespoke HOF bodyparts on Kinsō debut the maison's permanent G design language - presented here for the first time, and forming the basis for every HOF collection to follow.

The brief was clear: a body that could carry a different composition every season, without ever overpowering it. HOF front grille, redrawn bumpers, wheel-arch extensions, electric running boards with integrated exhaust outlets - all in high-grade carbon, produced exclusively by the maison.

Kinsō is presented in the Luxurious variant - restrained, in the spirit of quiet luxury, with a dedicated wheel and grille combination. The seasonal change does not happen in the metal. It happens in the colours, fabrics, leathers and finishes drawn from outside the automotive vocabulary.

Kinsō - from above, the monolithic canvas complete

HOF G · V - Kinsō · From above · The composition, complete.

"We don't configure cars. We compose them."

Act III · A room you enter

Two atmospheres,
one cabin.

Coach Doors are one of HOF's signature gestures, reserved for compositions where the cabin asks to be entered, not stepped into. When they open, the interior reveals itself as two atmospheres held in a single body: Kinari Crème runs the front, Aizome Blue the rear - the eye carried forward through the cabin, from the warmth of the rear into the brighter passage at the front. The logic is borrowed directly from fashion.

Kinsō - exterior into interior, in motion

Act III · The Wardrobe

Carried from the cabin
into the world.

Every HOF season is anchored by a vehicle and extended through accessories - pieces conceived the way a fashion house conceives the components of a look. The bag that completes the dress, the scarf that finishes the coat.

The Kinsō wardrobe carries the same botanical jacquard, the same Aizome Blue, the same Kinari Crème and the same Silk Gold as the vehicle. Intended to be worn together. Available as a coordinated set, or as individual pieces.

Kintsugi - gold repair on dark ceramic

Kintsugi - gold as celebration. Every fracture made beautiful.

Epilogue

Kinsō.

金装 - the Japanese word for adornment. The discipline of making every visible thing carry invisible meaning. Surface as language - where what covers a thing tells you what lives inside it.

Botanical jacquard on the loom. Aizome from fermentation tanks in Tokushima. Kinari Crème from raw, unbleached silk. Silk Gold from nature's first light. Coach Doors that open like the entrance to a private room. An interior that is a room. Accessories that carry the same textile from the cabin into the world.

"Curated, Not Made."
