The Premise
Meet the Designer is the bespoke tier of the maison. A one-of-one commission, worked directly with the HOF design team. It sits outside the Spring Summer and Autumn Winter calendar. It carries no seasonal thesis. Its thesis is yours.
The framework is the same as every HOF composition: vehicle and accessories conceived as one body of work, drawn from the same materials, finished by hand at the atelier in Sindelfingen. The framework holds. The cultural thesis, the palette, the textile, the proportions of light and weight inside the cabin — all begin with the conversation.
The name is agreed between you and the designer. The commission is documented, numbered, and not repeated.
The Process

A first meeting at the atelier in Sindelfingen, or at a place of your choosing. We listen for the cultural thesis you bring - a city, a moment, a memory, a textile, a piece of music. The composition begins here, in language, before it begins in material.

Every Meet the Designer commission is composed as a complete collection - vehicle and accessories together, drawn from the same materials, never sold apart. Sketches, prototype hardware and woven swatches are presented in person, in context, the way a maison presents a season.

The composition is signed. The car is built and finished by hand at the atelier in Sindelfingen. The wardrobe and accessories - outerwear, leather goods, the pieces that complete the season - are produced from the same materials, in the same palette, by the same hands. Delivery is private. The collection is numbered and not repeated.
The Craftsmanship
Sindelfingen, a few kilometres from where Carl Benz built the first automobile. The HOF atelier returns the work to the hand. Side protection strips laser-cut from the bodywork and closed seamlessly by the same artisans who sew the doctor’s bag. Vegetable-tanned leather chosen for the patina it will hold in twenty years’ time. Botanical jacquard woven on the looms of Kyoto and sewn into the rear cabin the same week it lines the weekender.
A bespoke commission becomes part of a personal legacy. A complete collection, numbered, signed, and yours — the kind of object a family keeps, exhibits occasionally, and remembers the year it was made.

Who It Is For
A bespoke commission asks something from the client: a cultural posture, a point of view, a willingness to spend a year in conversation with a small team. We do not configure cars. We compose them — with you, for you, once.
The first conversation is private and obliges nothing. From there, the maison and the client decide together whether the composition has a thesis worth carrying.
