HOF, the German automotive maison, presents Kinsō at Fuori Concorso 2026 - the first vehicle of its Spring Summer 2027 collection and the opening composition of Car Couture, the category HOF is establishing at the intersection of fashion and automotive. Kinsō is accompanied by a coordinated collection of accessories - vehicle and wardrobe conceived as one - and is available for order from today, with first deliveries from autumn 2026.
Each HOF season is composed as a single body of work - vehicle and accessories together, drawn from the same materials. When the season closes, the composition closes with it; the next opens in its place. A new logic for the automobile. HOF debuts its permanent G design language on Kinsō - built on the Mercedes G-Class in an approach to quiet luxury, conceived to carry a different composition each season without ever overpowering it.
Kinsō (金装), the Japanese word for adornment, names both the season and its lead composition. The thesis begins in Nishijin-ori, the silk-weaving tradition of Kyoto, where botanical jacquard has been woven on hand-pulled looms for over five centuries. Honō (炎) takes the elemental energy of fire - the dynamism at the heart of Japanese craft. Ma (間) takes the most quietly profound of Japanese concepts: the meaningful interval, the space between. Each composition then finds its second voice in the language of Parisian couture.
Kinsō is built on the HOF G · V platform, based on the Mercedes G-Class. The exterior is conceived as a tailored two-tone with a third accent woven through - Aizome Blue above the beltline, Kinari Crème below, Silk Gold drawn through the body as the accent that ties the two halves into one composition. Kinsō is offered in two compositions of the same palette: the version shown here, and its flipped counterpart with the two principal colours reversed.
Before HOF dresses a car, HOF prepares the canvas. The G-Class's traditional side protection strips are laser-cut from the bodywork; each panel is closed seamlessly by hand. The process is manual and time-intensive, carried out at the atelier. What remains is a monolithic body - a single uninterrupted plane, the purest canvas HOF can offer the season's composition.
Coach Doors are one of HOF's signature gestures, reserved for compositions where the cabin asks to be entered, not stepped into. The interior of Kinsō is composed the way a couturier composes a dress: Kinari Crème at the front, Aizome Blue in the rear - two atmospheres held in a single body. Every Kinsō is finished by hand at Atelier HOF in Sindelfingen.
Every HOF collection is composed as a single body of work. Vehicle and accessories are drawn from the same materials, built for the same world, and conceived together - not as a car and its merchandise, but as one composition. Every collection car includes one piece from the season's accessories as part of its delivery.
Kinsō is available for order from 17 May 2026, with first deliveries from autumn 2026. Production is limited to the slots of the Spring Summer 2027 collection - when those slots are filled, Kinsō is sold out for the season.
