The Photographer
A photographer who treats the automobile the way couture treats the body.
Born in Medellín, shaped in Miami, Riocam has spent a decade photographing the edge where fashion meets the engineered object. His work has appeared in Vogue, GQ, L’Officiel and The New York Times Magazine, and on campaigns for The Webster, Stella McCartney, Off-White and Éres Paris. He treats an automobile the way a couturier drapes a fabric — with attention to weight, to the way light settles into a surface, to the silence around a well-cut line.
For the opening of Spring Summer 2027, HOF brought Riocam to Lake Como for two days with Kinsō — the season’s first composition. The campaign was shot across several private villas and lakeside locations around the water. The brief, in one sentence: let the cabin be a room, the wardrobe be a guest, and the car be the architecture between them.
The Cockpit
The cabin is a room.
The dashboard is dressed in botanical jacquard, woven on the same Nishijin-ori looms that line the rear cabin. Kinari Crème leather holds the front seats. The Mercedes wheel is left as it was - the maison's one invariant, the only quotation from outside its own vocabulary.
Riocam frames the cockpit the way he frames a couture detail - close enough to read the stitch, far enough to feel the room around it.
The Wardrobe
Vehicle and wardrobe,
drawn from the same materials.
Every HOF collection is composed as a single body of work. The same botanical jacquard that lines the rear cabin reads across the season's couture. The same Aizome Blue that walks the beltline carries through the wool of a sculptural collar. Silk Gold, drawn through the body of the car, returns as the thread that ties the wardrobe together.
The model is not standing beside Kinsō. She is part of it.
“I want to photograph the car the way you photograph a dress — for the way it moves on a body, not the way it sits in a window.”
Riocam — on the brief
The Setting
Como holds the season’s second voice.
The season begins in Kyoto and finds its second voice in Como - in the terracotta of an Italianate façade, in the worn marble of a courtyard, in the turquoise of a private pool at the end of a long afternoon. The light is patient, the architecture is restrained, the wardrobe carries indigo and cream past both.
Aizome Blue against terracotta. Silk Gold against cream stone. The composition finishes itself.
