A Rückblick
Two days, one composition, the unhurried attention a collected object deserves.
On 16 and 17 May 2026, at Villa del Grumello on the shore of Lake Como, HOF opened the first season of Car Couture. The atelier received its visitors the way a maison receives a season — a small audience of collectors, curators, designers, journalists and friends of the house. Conversation began over a glass on the gravel forecourt and continued under the trees as the afternoon turned amber.
We do not launch. We reveal. The 2026 edition of Fuori Concorso opened under the theme Kraftmeister— a tribute to German engineering and craftsmanship, spread across Villa del Grumello, Villa Sucota and Villa Olmo, with 72 vehicles and six world premieres. HOF chose Villa del Grumello, and the season opened with Kinsō.
The conversation has continued since — in writing, in person, from collectors across Europe, the GCC and the United States, who came to read the work and have remained in dialogue with the atelier. Kinsō is open to order, finished by hand at Atelier HOF in Sindelfingen, with the first deliveries from autumn 2026.
A Closer Look
The second day, when the light turned amber, the eye caught it.
Sit long enough beside the composition and the small things begin to declare themselves. A signature set into the weave the way a couturier sets a signature into a lining - not applied, not stamped, sewn through.
The maison does not ask the work to announce itself. It is read.
From Inside the Work
The audience that reads the car in dialogue with design, fashion and craft.
From inside the cabin, framed by the windshield: small groups in slow conversation, glasses raised, the sun moving through the trees behind them. Collectors, curators, designers, journalists - the cultural-luxury audience FuoriConcorso has drawn to Lake Como every May since 2019.
It is the room the maison was made for.

The Plateau Bar
The maison set its own room on the lawn.
Beside the composition, a small installation - the Plateau Bar. A black HOF cube under sail canopies on a soft lawn, opening onto the lake. From 11:00 until early evening, both days, this was where HOF received: a slow drink, a long afternoon, the kind of conversation that only happens when nobody is selling anything.
The composition stood a few metres away. The wardrobe walked past. The connoisseurs settled into a rhythm that does not belong to a fair.
Around the Concorso
Beyond the maison’s lawn, an event in its own quiet country.
Held on the shores of Lake Como every May since 2019, Fuori Concorso has become one of the most considered automotive culture gatherings in Europe — the unhurried counterpoint to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The 2026 edition, themed Kraftmeister, gathered 72 vehicles across Villa del Grumello, Villa Sucota and Villa Olmo: Mille Miglia veterans, one-offs, concept cars and modern prototypes — Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW and Audi at the centre of the programme.
Inside Villa Olmo, a parallel exhibition — Helmut Newton Cars— gathered 38 previously unseen works photographed by Newton across his career, open to the public for forty-five days.
